Begin Your Commission How It WorksCommissioned works account for a significant part of what QALAA does. A collector might want a Pichwai painted in a specific size to fit a particular wall. A hotel might need a mural that speaks to its location. A family might want a Madhubani celebrating an anniversary. Whatever the brief, we help you find the right artisan and facilitate the creative conversation.
How It Works
Tell us what you're imagining — size, tradition, subject, colour palette, space, budget, and timeline. Even a rough idea is enough to start. We'll ask the right questions to fill in the rest.
Based on your brief, we shortlist 2–3 artisans whose style, tradition, and capacity are the best fit. We share their portfolios, explain their working methods, and help you choose.
The artisan produces a detailed compositional sketch or study. You review, provide feedback, and approve before any final work begins. Revisions are included in the process.
The work is created in the artisan's studio, documented throughout with photography. We handle quality inspection, framing if required, and white-glove delivery to your door or installation site.
What to Expect
Timelines & Pricing
Timelines depend on the tradition and complexity of the work. A minimum 50% advance is required to begin. Final payment on completion and approval.
